Challenge
Every year over 375,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK. Macmillan developed a new to market product for ongoing support and we were tasked to reach individuals at the point of their diagnosis – a sensitive moment to target and difficult to target in media.
Solution
we developed a multichannel digital media plan through a robust test and learn approach whilst also ensuring compliance with GDPR and the parameters of targeting cancer sufferers through non-broadcast channels.
Outcome
Across an 18 month period we helped over 30,000 individuals (ca.7% of all newly diagnosed patients) start their journey with Macmillan, increasing spend by seven fold and lowering the CPA by 65% at the same time.
